The Rotary Club of Bologna assigns every year one of the most prestigious prizes of the Rotary International: the “Paul Harris Fellow”, dedicated to personalities who distinguished themselves for the constant contribution offered in the social, cultural, and economic environment in the city of Bologna. This year 11 people have been awarded. Among them, ISOF is proud to announce that Dr. Armida Torreggiani, ISOF, CNR researcher, has been nominated.

The committee underlined the activity of Dr. Torreggiani and her ability to develop and to coordinate, since 20 years, an international network of students and researchers in the context of the MIUR project “The Language of Research” (LDR-Project). The main activity of the project is to give a series of lectures in different high schools . The virtuous model of scientific dissemination, defined by Dr. Torreggiani, puts together young and fervent minds of schools with researchers of 25 Institutes of CNR located in 10 Italian regions.
