Requirements

We are glad to welcome application from candidates interested in joining a dynamic and ambitious team in the areas of laboratory materials management and handling, product orders and support for routine maintenance and equipment procurement.

Specific Requirements

The following requirements must be met in order to take part in the competition:
(a) citizenship of one of the Member States of the European Union;
(b) age not less than 18 years
(c) regular position with regard to compulsory military service;
(d) you must not have been convicted of a criminal offence, which has the force of res judicata, for offences involving disqualification from holding public office; they must not have been dismissed or disqualified from employment with a Public Administration for persistent and insufficient performance and they must not have been declared disqualified from another State job, for having obtained the job by producing false documents or documents with non-recoverable invalidity, and they must not have been banned from public office on the basis of a sentence that has become final, nor have they been dismissed for disciplinary reasons in accordance with the national collective labour agreements stipulated for the Public Administration sectors;
(e) enjoyment of civil and political rights. For candidates who are not Italian citizens and do not hold refugee or subsidiary protection status, enjoyment of civil and political rights is referred to the country of citizenship;
(f) possession of a secondary school diploma obtained at a state or legally recognised higher institute.

If the qualification was obtained abroad, the candidate must indicate in the application the details of the measure by which the qualification was recognised as equivalent to the corresponding Italian qualification.

The Institute

You will work at ISOF, which is one of the 89 institutes of the National Research Council of Italy (CNR) established in 2002.
CNR, the largest public research institution in Italy, is directly managed by the Ministry of Research.
The mission of CNR is to conduct research, promote innovation and competitiveness, internationalize the national research system, provide technologies and solutions, and advise the government and other public bodies on scientific matters.

Competence and/or professional experience in the following subjects:

• Management of the warehouse and loading/unloading registers of solvents/chemicals, handling of heavy loads (e.g. solvent drums), hazardous waste disposal and management of the electronic register (Rentri);
• Cylinder handling, handling of cylinders, handling of cryogenic liquids and refill of NMR instrumentation;
• Order management of solvents/chemical reagents, compressed gases, cryogenic liquids and laboratory consumables;
• Supporting routine maintenance and procurement of consumables/spares for laboratory equipment;
• Knowledge of the English language;
• Knowledge of basic IT and the main application packages;
• Knowledge of the Italian language for candidates of non-Italian nationality.
