I was born in 1984; I earned a Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology in 2009 and a Ph.D. in Chemistry (Pharmaceutical Sciences curriculum) in 2014, both at the Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna. From 2014 to 2019, I was a post-doctoral fellow at the Department of Pharmacy and Biotechnology at the Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna; in 2019, I started working as a researcher at the Institute for Organic Synthesis and Photoreactivity of the Italian National Research Council (ISOF-CNR) in Bologna. My research activity is focused on the structural and stereochemical characterization of biologically active molecules and the study of molecular recognition phenomena (drug-protein, drug-DNA, protein-protein) by application of spectroscopic (mainly circular dichroism), chromatographic (enantioselective and affinity-based) and computational (TD-DFT calculations) methods. I am the author of 35 publications on international peer-reviewed journals (1 as corresponding author, 10 as first author, 1 preface; h-index: 11), as well as 14 oral (5 of which invited lectures or seminars) and 13 poster communications. I spent some periods abroad as visiting student or visiting scientist at King’s College London (UK; 2007-2008, 7 months), at the University of Leipzig (Germany; 2012-2013, 6 months) and the Medical University of Lublin (Poland; 2016-2019, 3 months total).
